Literally in my ‘I don’t give a 💩’ era! Literally in my ‘I don’t give a 💩’ era! My neurodivergent brain often means I wear what I feel is ‘appropriate’ for certain occasions/places/activities, even if I’m not fully ‘comfortable’. My brains need to fit in is often stronger than my need to feel comfortable. I’ve done this since I was young and absolutely see the same in my youngest. But actually, now more and more I’m wearing what makes my body comfortable and realising that actually it still makes my brain feel comfortable too, as no-one actually cares what I’m wearing. So here’s to giving no more f**ks about what anyone else thinks (even your own brain 🤪) and wearing what makes you happy! Who’s with me?! Life certainly hasn’t turned out the way I thoug Life certainly hasn’t turned out the way I thought it would, but I’m okay with that! Late diagnosis, menopause and/or having children with additional needs can all change our lives dramatically when we hit our mid life. There is a definite period of grief and angst, whilst we adjust, but the path we are given was the path we were always meant to walk.
