Top Ten Uses for muslin cloth

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Working on my latest production addition to the collections got me thinking.  Muslin cloth has been around for so long and with such humble beginnings, it’s amazing just how many uses it now has for baby.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

So here are my Top 10 Uses for Muslin Cloth

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]1. Burp Cloth

We all forget a bib every now and again (or if you are me all the time!) and I was an absolute lover of the little triangle bibs as my last two were both dribblers extraordinaire, but i found that 1. these were already too wet to be of use for much else and 2. They are pretty ‘snug’ so not really covering enough space for possibly milk spillage when burping i felt. so muslins were a perfect solution.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]2. Comforter

My boys all loved their soft toys and blankets, but a lot of the time we didn’t want to take out their favourites as toys may get lost (god forbid, we learnt the hard way!) and blankets were too cumbersome and big a lot of the time.  A muslin cloth was perfect for an interim comforter whilst out, without the worry if it was dropped somewhere or left behind.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]3. Swaddle Blanket

The larger style of muslin now fashionable is also absolutely perfect for swaddling in the early days.  I swaddled all mine in their moses baskets and muslin was perfect as nice and light so no worries about over heating.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]4. Pushchair Sleep Shield

Muslin is perfect for draping lightly over the pram to create a calm, peaceful place to snooze.  Remember to only do this where you are in the shade/indoors and remove once they are asleep.  It is advised that you no longer use as a shade from the sun or heat, as this can actually cause the temp to increase in the pram, putting baby at risk.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image media=”55312″ caption=”yes” media_width_percent=”100″][vc_column_text]

5. Feeding cover

If you aren’t one to just get the old boobies out in public (I know I wasn’t).  Then muslin provides the perfect cover whilst feeding and can help to ensure baby is fully concentrating on the job in hand too![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]6. Picnic Blanket

Perfect to use as an picnic blanket if the weather is nice and you decide on an impromptu picnic in the park with the littlies![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]7. Peekaboo

Muslin cloth is also great for games of peekaboo with baby.  Come on, what baby doesn’t love peekaboo![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]8. Spillages

For those moments when you are absolutely knackered and knock over their drink or your cuppa. Or when they have their little tantrum (yep they all do it) and the dinner is thrown.  Especially when out the muslin is great for mopping up pretty much any wet mess![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image media=”55313″ caption=”yes” media_width_percent=”100″][vc_column_text]9. Dolls Blankets

Keep a couple of muslin for playtime too! Muslin cloth is great for putting dollies to bed at night or wrapping them up in their prams. Soft and light they are easy for little hands and fingers to work with.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]10. Superhero Capes

Last but definitely by no means least, is the make shift cape! With our superhero prints, it practically must be the law to use for this purpose.  Wrap them round their shoulders and watch their imagination spark…[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]That’s my top ten, I’d love to know if you use them for anything else?!
