The guest bedroom and bathroom are really coming o The guest bedroom and bathroom are really coming on, which is lucky as it’s where we’ll occupy initially whilst we concentrate on finishing the ‘other half’ of the house which has the master bed and bath.

The light that floods into this room is beautiful so I really wanted a clean and fresh feel in here. I was also really conscious that in the en-suite there was no natural light, so I wanted to continue that light and airy feel into the bathroom with a bit more depth.

I fell in love with @farrowandball Stiffkey Blue after using in the downstairs WC in Westmead and knew I wanted to use somewhere in the new house. So when I was looking at a modern French farmhouse feel and found this vanity suite in Stiffkey from @victorianplumbinguk it seemed the perfect marriage.

What do you think?!
Anyone else’s husband offer such whitty remarks Anyone else’s husband offer such whitty remarks without even being asked for an opinion????
So as you all know I work part time and so don’t So as you all know I work part time and so don’t get up to the house during the week. Therefore I rely on messages and photos from the hubby to get a feel for what is going on. Most of the time this works well, but occasionally there is a little miscommunication, and when I say that, I mean the hubby passes on duff information to the contractors because he hasn’t listened to me properly 😜 bit like what sink goes with what bathroom 🙄

It’s so close to moving in that I really wish I could be there for when things crop up. But it is what it is and can’t do nowt about it at the moment.

This weekend we will hopefully be getting some beds out of the outbuildings to build 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 oh and the stair runner/landing carpet has just arrived (literally) but we’ll keep that off till the big bits of furniture have been put in place!

All the carpets in the bedrooms are from @onlinecarpetsuk (I’ll link fully when I can do room reveals)

The bathroom suites are all from @victorianplumbinguk

Living room parquet flooring I’ll double check and tag 🙏🏻
TOP TIP: Don’t take anything for granted! Our TOP TIP: Don’t take anything for granted!

Our old house (we built) had beautifully proportioned rooms with high ceilings.

So when it came to the new farmhouse I don’t think it even crossed our minds about fitting wardrobes in. We were a bit blasé as we knew we’d be building fitted wardrobes in the master. But that out of the 4 other bedrooms, we’d have no problem fitting in just two wardrobes from the old house.

Well we were wrong….

It’s been quite the renovation journey so far an It’s been quite the renovation journey so far and we haven’t even moved into the farmhouse yet! I’ve lost a lot of followers now that I no longer share much about our (Sam’s) ND journey, and I completely get that, it’s not the same account they came to follow. But I’ve also gained a lot of new followers who are here to be with us on this next part of the journey. So, I wanted to share some fun facts about our Grade II Listed Victorian Farmhouse and how we got to where we are today!

We are literally within weeks of being able to move in and I honestly can’t tell you how excited I am to be in the house finally.

Thanks for being here and make sure you follow along and share with anyone you think may like 🥰
I really need to tell my face to stop talking 🫣 I really need to tell my face to stop talking 🫣😜🤪

Half term this week which means I don’t need to disrupt my working day with the school run, which makes things so much easier as I really struggle with the transition between work-school run-work. But it does also mean having to keep Sam occupied. Luckily with the house so close to moving in, then he’s happy going up there during the day, but it is only Monday.

How do you find half term?! Do you love it or hate it?!
