Hell yeah 🙌🏻 and I know y’all would do for Hell yeah 🙌🏻 and I know y’all would do for me too! 😜

It’s funny, as you get older (especially if an ND parent and/or late diagnosed ND) then your circle of friends vastly reduces. For many reasons:

• Being an ND parent reduces that village, and even just the ability to have the time to socialise like you used to. Appointments, emails, paperwork…

• Menopause wipes the ability to filter and deal with the mental load as easily, so again for me I found larger social situations became overwhelming. Not only the event itself, but the build up and the overthinking afterwards!

• The overwhelm and RSD (rejection sensitivity dysphoria) also means you often cancel plans, and you quickly realise those who get that it’s not personal. It’s just our brains.

But those friends who are still there, who accept you and all that comes with you, those relationships are some of the strongest.

To those friends, we are forever grateful and while we may not always be present, we’ve always got your back if it came to it!

I was hoping to have a long form video ready to launch, but family emergencies mean I haven’t had the chance, but hopefully it should be uploaded by the weekend 🙏🏻

Thank you for all your support and encouragement 👍🏻
We went up to the house yesterday and it’s been We went up to the house yesterday and it’s been just under a week since I’ve last been, but what a difference!

There’s a coat of paint on three of the rooms (living room, music (temp dining) room and Sam’s room) with the guest room being painted this week. Two en-suites and the family bathroom are also starting to take shape, which is very exciting!

The house is still very cold, so of course the first thing we need to do is light the fire and the log burner. We are going through so much wood. Luckily we have a lot of fallen/dead wood in the woodland that we can use and Matt has loved using his splitter! Boys and their toys!

I’m still mesmerised by the piping, really wish it didn’t have to be lagged and could be on show, but think that’s just me on that 🫣🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣

I spent the afternoon stripping about 5/6 layers of wallpaper from the one wall in Sam’s room that hasn’t been painted and has gorgeous horizontal wood panelling underneath! What’s really interesting is that the room was originally painted green under all those years of wallpaper. I took that as a little nod that the house is happy with my choice in colour there 💚

We of course had to nip to see @soniamoore909 at Moore’s Deli for a lovely cuppa and bit of cake. I had the pistachio, polenta and olive oil cake which was lush! And Matt had a homemade scone with Jame and cream. Well deserved me thinks ❤️❤️❤️

Got loads of extra footage so will put together during the week and share if anyone wants to see 👍🏻
IT’S FRIDAY!!!!!!!! Okay, so I’ve only been b IT’S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

Okay, so I’ve only been back at work for two days, but weekends are always worth celebrating no?!

Cannot wait for @ukthetraitors tonight, who’s watching?! I can’t figure out if Fiona is genius or just proper ditsy…

There’s been lots gone on at the house this week, so I cannot wait to get there tomorrow and see the changes. I do hate not being able to be there during the week. I’d got used to going up most days during the holidays, but with Sam back at school and work then it just isn’t possible.

What is everyone up to this weekend?!
So in a bid to be in the house as soon as we can ( So in a bid to be in the house as soon as we can (end of month🤞🏻🤞🏻), we are concentrating on the front half of the house in the hope that we can get it into a ‘moveable’ in state, to then be able to concentrate on the second half of the house if/once planning has been granted.

So we are looking at two downstairs rooms- Living Room and Music Room (although initially this will be our makeshift kitchen and dining room 🤪) and two bedrooms on the first floor - Sam’s Room and the Guest Room. A further two bedrooms in the attic/servants quarters 😜 will be flashed out and made good so that the two eldest boys will have somewhere to stay if and when they next come home.

I’m absolutely loving being allowed free rein (well as much as you can in an 18th century listed farmhouse) in terms of interior design. Despite what @pantone may say, there will only be a splash of white in this home! The guest bedroom is where you’ll see the most.

All paint colours shown are from @farrowandball as they just always hit the spot colour wise. Wallpaper so far are @bandq_uk and @lauraashleyuk although we will have to wait a few months before putting onto ensure everything has dried/settled. I’ve also fallen in love with @ufurnishcom which compare furniture from retailers across the UK, it makes it super easy to find everything from furniture to lighting, all under one ‘roof’ 🙏🏻

The mental load of having to balance EBSA, PDA pro The mental load of having to balance EBSA, PDA profile, your own ND, renovating a home and work all at the same time is a lot.

The difference of not having to work for these last few days this week is palpable. My nervous system has been relaxed and regulated. Which means I’ve been able to give Sam the time and support he needs on a school morning. Which then means that Sam is less dysregulated, going into school without much fuss and meltdowns are hardly seen.

But I’m back at work tomorrow. I can feel the tension in my stomach growing, the dysregulation growing within me, the pressure building of time constraints with meetings, deadlines, workload expectations. I really wish it wasn’t like this…
