RIP to the most wonderful Dame Patricia Routledge RIP to the most wonderful Dame Patricia Routledge (and a nod to again another genius who passed too soon, Victoria Wood) you shall be greatly missed, but by no means forgotten. Classic comedy that will forever live on and make us belly laugh 😆
Another week and still no keys… Part of this all Another week and still no keys… Part of this all feels so surreal now. We spend most weekend up in Thornton Dale, Sam has made friends, we’re getting to knew the locals… but the house still isn’t officially ours. Struggling with the lack of control that I have over the situation as it’s delaying not only our move, but my ability to transfer Sam’s EHCP.

Please send me all your positive thoughts to get it over the lie this week 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

P.S. Ignore the voiles, but do check out the wooden shutters 🥰🥰🥰🥰

So while we wait to complete, I do love the fact t So while we wait to complete, I do love the fact that each day I can look out the window and see the stunning Minster from across the roof tops.

There’s something breathtaking about the moment York Minster’s towers appear on the skyline — it feels like stepping back through centuries of history. This gothic masterpiece has stood at the heart of York for over 800 years, with every arch, stained-glass window and carved stone telling a story of faith, craftsmanship and resilience.

Step inside and the world slows down. The soaring ceilings, centuries-old carvings and incredible stained-glass windows seem to whisper stories of the past. If you’re ever in York, don’t rush by — wander in, look up, and let this iconic cathedral take your breath away.
Working on something old but new, now that all the Working on something old but new, now that all the boys are getting that bit older and need me a little less. But it’s proving difficult at the moment as I’m struggling to get a decent nights sleep in our temporary flat. I’m just not used to the noise anymore and am waking up regularly through the night. It also takes me forever to get back to sleep once I’ve woken. What I did notice last night was that I had forgotten to take my meds for two nights in a row and the Mirtazapin I take is exactly for that, to help with sleep. It definitely works, so need to work hard to make sure I remember to take each night. Any tips greatly received!

Anyway, it just means I’m struggling to get as much done during the day as I’m worn out. I’m trying to take my mind off the completion on the house which didn’t happen again on Friday, but should happen Monday…

Wish us luck, so past it now 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣

Do you think we’ll complete on Monday?
