Matchy matchy! His and her desks in the office. Th Matchy matchy! His and her desks in the office. That took a bit of lugging today (on my own as the hubby was squash coaching) but finally I have my own desk back up and running.

I tried to make my desk a little more homely with some of the decor from the old house once found recently, but the toilet does make it look rather unique. I can imagine that will be quite the talking point on TEAMS calls!

The hubby has a little more paperwork than me to wade through… LOL should have done it beforehand like me 🤔😜😇

Daisy seems v happy, might have to get her a bed a little more befitting of the office.

I also have my go to’s on my desk. Hand cream (it’s been packed away so long it’s Christmas spice - my favourite!), sweary affirmations and of course my @rebel_rituals.life ‘ADHD AS FUCK’ essential oil roller 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’ve never been a morning person and none of our I’ve never been a morning person and none of our kids have been either! When I look back the signs were all there but as always it’s usually the one that struggles the most that then makes you realise just how much the rest of us struggled too.

I’m Fay, a 51 year old AuDHD, perimenopausal mum of 3 ND boys (Autism, ADHD and dyslexia), who has just uprooted us all to move to a renovation project on the edge of the North York Moors.

The move has given us the opportunity to move our youngest’s school. Since he transitioned to secondary nearly 3 years ago now, we have struggled to find him the right setting. I had originally wanted to look at the school he’s at now, but as it was out of area I knew I’d struggle to prove he needed. 3 years of EBSA later and here we are. It’s still early days, but the signs are positive.

His attending did bring back swiftly the realisation of how much we struggle with mornings. I generally have to add at least 1-2 hours longer than you would an average kid to wake up and get ready for school. And even then it’s not always a guarantee. I’m knackered too as getting up at 6 every morning really isn’t my idea of heaven either 🫣🤪

Anyone else in the same boat. I love that he is accessing school and am so proud but boy I forgot how hard it is and how tiring it is just to get him out the door on a morning… for both of us!

If any of the above hits a chord, then you’ve found your tribe, so make sure to like and follow, and comment below so I can say hi 👋🏻
When you’ve been a people pleaser all your life When you’ve been a people pleaser all your life and then perimenopause hits!!!!
I need your help guys! This was the little cupbo I need your help guys!

This was the little cupboard that decided the whole layout of the kitchen. A tiny little, quirky cupboard tucked away in the corner, that made all the distance. So what do I do with it?! I want to make sure it feels part of the kitchen and not try and hide it away. All ideas welcome, comment below 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

If you’ve not been here before, hi 👋🏻 I’m Fay an 51 year old AuDHD mum in the midst of perimenopause, whilst also renovating a Grade II listed farmhouse in North Yorkshire. I talk openly and honestly about how my neurodivergence and perimenopause affect my life, renovations and also parenting my ND boys too. If this sounds like you, then follow along for the ride!
There aren’t many ‘insta’ moments at the mom There aren’t many ‘insta’ moments at the moment. It’s all a bit of reality!

I’ve been working from essentially a coffee table in the living room for months now and my right shoulder is giving me real jip. So I finally managed to persuade the hubby to move in our desks to the office. To be fair I just wanted to move my desk in which would have been a nice easy job as it’s a normal size. But oh no, we had to do his first which is twice the size! 2m wide and a 1m deep, it took the two of us an hour to move it all in. Then another 2 hours cleaning it all and putting together, and I still have to hoover 🫣🫣🫣😳

I’m bloody knackered now, so my desk will have to wait! Surprise surprise! Want to see more renovation mayhem then make sure you follow along, it’s rarely dull!
Late to the party as always with a trend, and okay Late to the party as always with a trend, and okay I’m not outside, BUT…

we almost have a kitchen! The units are all in bar the utility, the worktops are fitted, just waiting on the plumbers and electricians to finish all their bits (at least another week 🫣) before Al (kitchen fitter extraordinaire) comes back to finish everything off and also complete the utility. And no, I have no idea who’s random boot that is 🤪

So for now it’s cleaning with my gorgeous @purdyandfigg #obsessed and finally starting to unpack some of the boxes from the original move! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 slowly we are getting there.

Happy Friday all, what are your plans for the weekend?! I wanna stay at home and do loads of house stuff but the youngest has other plans 🫣🤪
